Tin Barn Vineyards Syrah
Crafted with grapes sourced from a remote vineyard on a rocky hillside - just above the fog line at an elevation of 1,000 feet - our Syrah features bright, earthy and smokey notes typical of a Northern Rhone Syrah. Tin Barn Syrah reveals hints of smoky bacon, leather, and blackberry fruit. A wine with an uncommon balance and elegance, this Syrah would perfectly complement a cassoulet, beef stew or French onion soup, while partnering great with aged cheese and berry-filled desserts. The fruit sourced for our Syrah comes to Tin Barn Vineyards from the Coryelle Fields Vineyard in the coastal hills east of Jenner, where winemaker Michael Lancaster received his inspiration for the namesake Tin Barn Vineyards from a nearby road of the same name. The fruit for the Tin Barn Vineyards Syrah is allowed to ripen slowly in the coastal air. Recognizing the rarity of this elegant wine, Tin Barn Vineyards has won gold medals in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the TexSom International Wine Competition.
If you’d like to experience our artisanally crafted Syrah, we encourage you to visit our tasting room and winery. At Tin Barn Vineyards, we're proud to be a boutique winery dedicated to celebrating the wine making experience, from grape to glass. Our tasting room is an unpretentious window into our winemaking, where you can learn more about how our Syrah and other fine wines are made and chat with our small crew of devoted wine lovers. Our Winery is the fruit of five friends' passion for the grape, which is evident when you take an impromptu cellar tour. If you’d like to take a glimpse into the heart of our operation, we believe our hand crafted Syrah offers just that with every sip.
